Have you ever questioned your faith in the past? Have you been forced to deal with life when you didn’t want to? I know that I have, in the past, looked past my faith and didn’t even care. I felt that because the people whom I was hanging out with didn’t know or follow Jesus, I thought, why should I? Well, in the past year I have definitely done some changing and am known to be seen at church every Sunday as long as there was no sickness in our household. This movie, Forty-Seven Days with Jesus, has made me think hard about my faith and who I follow.

A Little About the Movie

Forty-Seven Days with Jesus is out in theaters starting today, March 11th, and will leave the theaters on March 14th. It’s about a disconnected family who finds hope and unity through a cinematic retelling of Jesus’ final 47 days on Earth. It is the perfect movie as we head into Palm Sunday and Easter in the next few weeks. Starring Yoshi Barrigas and Catherine Lidstone from The Chosen and featuring unforgettable original music, Forty-Seven Days with Jesus brings the Easter story to life. It reminds us of The Gospel’s enduring impact in our lives.

My Thoughts on the Movie

As I sat on my sectional in my living room late last night, I watched Forty-Seven Days with Jesus and thought it was such a good movie. I have seen many films about the Easter story and Jesus’ life during his last earthly days, but this movie is different. It has a way of sharing the story of Jesus during his last 47 days on earth and how it can relate to our own lives. The family has two parents, one of whom is always working while the other is trying to keep their marriage together. The kids who one knew the story and the other who was just learning of it and not thinking it was real. It really was a great movie and one that I can’t wait to watch with Jason and Olivia. I felt it was the perfect way to tell the story of Jesus’ last days on earth.

Now it’s your turn to go to your local movie theater and see this fantastic, heartfelt movie with the family. This movie only shows on March 11th, 12th & 14th, when you can see Forty-Seven Days with Jesus. Be sure to grab your tickets today, and don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn more about the last 47 days before Jesus rose from the grave!
