Many often wonder what will happen after we die? Where we will go? What will it be like? As a Christian and believer of God, I know where I will be going. But for those who are still a little curious, this movie is one that will tear at your heart a little and you may cry too. It also pulled at my heart strings a little as well since I too have experienced a near-death in my life when I was a lot younger. Let’s take a peek at what the movie is about below and my thoughts on it and why it’s a must see movie!

A Little Synopsis of the Movie “After Death”

After Death is a heart gripping film that explores what happens after we die, based on real near-death experiences, conveyed by scientists, authors and survivors. From the New York Times bestselling authors who brought you titles like 90 minutes in Heaven, Imagine Heaven and To Heaven and Back, emerges a cinematic peek beyond the veil that examines the spiritual and scientific dimensions of mortality, inviting us to wonder: Is there life after death?

My Review on the Movie “After Death”

The movie After Death provided me with a sense of I’m not alone in this near-death experience, there are others who too have seen what I have. It gave me a sense of comfort. I have lost loved ones in the past 3 years and even this summer and no matter how many you lose, it will never be easy. I know however for most who leave this world, I have gotten to say good-bye to them. Even if you hadn’t seen them in years, it still takes a toll on your life, on your heart.

a man standing looking at the white light in his near-death experience

This film is one that I knew after learning about what it was talking about I got a little excited because I personally have been in a near-death experience before. I was under the age of 4 and the rescue squad had taken me into a local hospital in Maryland. My mom told me that the EMT’s were pouring jugs of water all over me and my fever was still over 105.6. The doctors worked on me for over 45 minutes because I was seizing for so long, they eventually had to put me into respiratory arrest and were doing chest compressions for a good long while. When I finally came out of my coma, I was explaining everything that the doctors and nurses had done to me. It was like I was floating above the room, everything was in color, yet everything seemed so slow too. The doctors were all baffled at how I came out of that situation alive, awake and talking to them. I knew that God had a purpose for me, and yet I still don’t know what that is.

This movie definitely brought some tears into my eyes, yet I felt at peace during the whole thing. I knew that this movie was meant for me to feel something and I’m so glad I was able to see it. It allowed me to see that I was not alone in this experience and I feel that God put it into my life so that I could see and hear others who has gone through the same thing. It was very comforting to me and I’m sure comfort for those who fear death.

I feel that since I really enjoyed this movie and the comfort it gave me, I feel that you too will enjoy it as much as I do. But I warn you that you may be crying at parts of this movie just as I did. It is out in theaters today, October 27th, so be sure to grab your tickets to see After Death today!

I tell ya that our family loves movies and Jason has been home now for over a month for an injury to both of his knees. He’s been getting bored with not doing much like he’s used to and he’s been watching movies like crazy since he’s been home. A lot of people know that I love to cook and I used EVOO a lot in the foods that I cook. Just before Christmas, I decided one night that me and Olivia would have spaghetti squash because we had it at the house and we love it. Its such an easy meal to cook and I know that my extra picky eater will actually eat a lot of it, so why not? The Flavor Your Life campaign aims to educate North American consumers about authentic extra virgin olive oil from Europe. Flavor Your Life is empowering to consumers by educating them about the rich history and delicious properties found that these oils display. And what better way than sharing the delicious extra virgin olive oil culinary culture that’s been harvested in Europe for generations.

I started out by preheating the oven at a solid 400° and not using convection on our oven. Did you know that extra virgin olive oil has a high smoking point of 400° which is why it is suitable for cooking and baking. For some reason our oven honestly burns everything whenever we use convection so needless to say we decided against using it. As the oven was preheating, I took out the cutting board and cut the spaghetti squash in half length wise.

Spaghetti Squash Opened up showing seeds

Next step was to remove the seeds by scooping them out with my spurtle or you can use just a spoon.

After the removal of the seeds, it was time to break out the extra virgin olive oil and pour into a small bowl.

Next up it was time to spread the olive oil onto the inside of the spaghetti squash using a silicone brush.

Then I added some salt, pepper and a little garlic butter seasoning onto the squash.

Next was to turn the spaghetti squash exposing the outside of the squash only and to use a fork to poke some ventilation holes into it.

Then I stuck it into the oven for 45 minutes (I am showing it at 39 minutes because I got distracted as usual)

After it was finished I took it out and let it sit for a good 5 minutes before I started to make it into spaghetti using a fork.

As I let it rest, I started on the spaghetti sauce which was just a small can of diced tomatoes, some garlic powder, onion powder, Italian herbs and some marinara sauce in a pan and heated it up to temperature.

After letting the sauce simmer for a bit and was ready to use, it was time to get that spaghetti ready.

All that was left was to put into a bowl, add the spaghetti sauce and enjoy dinner! This was such a fun and easy meal to make for dinner and is one of our favorites to do.

This extra virgin olive oil was delicious and didn’t leave a bad aftertaste to it. I’ve tried other EVOO’s before and they always leave a horrible aftertaste in my mouth so this has now become one of my favorites to use. Be sure to store your extra virgin olive oil somewhere cool and not on your counter or near the oven. This extra virgin olive oil was harvested in Italy and it’s vegan, gluten free and doesn’t have any any additives or preservatives.

Bring home the authentic EVOO and use in your home as it has a robust flavor and has an aroma like no other one out there. You can purchase this 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil for $19.99 and you get a 500 mL bottle. How amazing is that?! Hurry and get yours today to add to your own kitchen to make your own tasty meals using it! Be sure to check out their Facebook & Twitter Feed too!
