Alex & Me DVD Review

When Olivia first came to us and told us that she wanted to play soccer again this year, we were elated over it because she has tried other things in the past and didn’t stick with it. So when I first heard about the movie, “Alex & Me” I knew it was something that we had to get because Olivia loves soccer now. This movie has been a big hit in our household and we are enjoying it day after day since we first received it. This movie is perfect for those who have children who love to play soccer or even watch the sport.
This movies is about a teenager named Reagan Willis who has a dream – to play soccer like her hero, Alex Morgan. Her bedroom is a shrine to all things Alex, including a life-size poster (who wouldn’t want to have one right?) of the Olympic gold medalist. Yet in the Willis house, Reagan lives in the shadow of her preppy football superstar brother, Logan. But when Reagan fails to make the cut of the premiere local soccer club team and is humiliated by her rival Claire, she’s certain that her chance has slipped by. After accidentally hitting her head one day, Reagan’s poster of Alex Morgan comes to life and everything suddenly changes for her!! I’m not going to give away anymore of what happens but all I can say this is a good movie that I would be happy to have watched when I was younger and into soccer myself. You have to have a dream and to be able to live your dreams to the fullest when you set your mind to something!!!

This movie came out today for you to be able to purchase for your collection. Olivia has been watching it in the van and I don’t know what she is going to do when we purchase a new vehicle that doesn’t have a DVD player in it. She will have to get over it I guess. But you can get the Blu-Ray for $24.98, DVD for $19.98 and Digital copy for $14.98. This is a movie that you will fall in love with and it’s a must see for those who love the sport.
