Decorating for the Spring

It’s hard to believe that it’s spring because the past few days it’s been quite chilly here. I need to get my yard ready for the spring and summer too. We have been recently thinking of changing out some of our front landscaping and adding in some color. When we first bought the house a few years ago, we didn’t change anything but now that we’ve been in the house for almost 3 years it’s time to go ahead and make a few changes. The first thing that I need to do in the yard is add my little garden flag back. We had to take it down due to the hurricanes and then some nasty storms we received back in January. I haven’t put it back and now is the time to do so. I have seen several flags that I like such as the farmhouse pig one with cute flowers, but I have also seen several that I like.

The Thin Blue Line Flag is one but only because we have family members who are retired law enforcement and also secret service too. If you don’t know what the meaning of the thin blue line then here is what it means, the blue line is to represents the officer and the courage that they go through everyday. The black lines represent the fallen officers and the Line is what police officers protect, the barrier between anarchy and a civilized society, between order and chaos, between respect for decency and lawlessness. Together they symbolize the camaraderie law enforcement officers all share, a brotherhood like none other. This is something that means a lot to me and my family!

This would be a good add to our garden flag collections to show the love for law enforcement during this time that we are dealing with. For many of my friends who are married to law enforcement or anyone who is one the front lines at this time. This could be a good add to your home and share with everyone that you to support your loved ones and help support them. I have a big decision to make in finding a few flags that I like…so now comes the hard part, which one I should get or just all of them!
