Quarantine Life…

Can you believe that it’s been well over a month since the Governor of North Carolina gave us the “stay at home” orders? I think for us it’s been a little harder on us because of a few things that went on during the month of April. First we had to reschedule our vacation which was supposed to be Olivia’s Sweet 16 trip with my parents, but we are hoping to go back in September. My dad was going to surprise her and we were excited to stay in a 2 bedroom at Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge. But we will travel again soon. Then my dad got really sick and was in the hospital for about a week. He’s back home and is getting better with each passing day. My siblings and I had to step in and help with the care of my grandma who is almost 101 and she’s so sweet. We would do anything to help our parents out and even though this past month has been chaotic, we’ve somehow made it work.

We also last month found a farm that is only 10 minutes from our home that has produce boxes. We get a box every week for only $25 and it’s filled with produce that is from the farm. We also get their farm fresh eggs too which we love them too. We have been trying to shop local to help support businesses in the area and only use the grocery store for the items we can’t get. Another thing we decided to do is order our very first ButcherBox. We can’t wait until we receive ours and get to try the meat. I have stopped drinking soda for the most part and drink water and I have lost some weight. I’m just trying to get back into the swing of things and getting healthy again.

How are you surviving the “stay at home” order at your home?
