Going on Vacation Soon
It seems like we went on vacation forever ago, but it’s been about 8 months since we returned home from our cruise. This year we are heading to Walt Disney World again but we’re not sure if we are doing the parks. This was a last minute trip planned and to tell you the truth, maybe not going into the parks may be a good thing. We are staying in two different resorts because we had enough points that we had to use up before August 1st. One thing that I feel I didn’t do as well on our last vacation was vlog much. I didn’t get nearly enough footage to share on YouTube and it makes me sad.
Where are we staying?
The golden question we keep getting asked after they find out we are heading back to the the World is where are you staying? Yes, the golden question. Well, I’d like to say that we are staying in a resort where we’ve stayed before, but we are staying in a completely different room category and view. For the last 3 nights we will be over at Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village in a 2-bedroom Savannah View and let’s just say Olivia is excited! We’ve stayed in a 2 bedroom before at Old Key West, but this time it’s different. We actually had the points to stay here.
The first half of the trip we will be staying in one of my dream resorts I’ve been wanting to stay in. Yes, it’s Disney’s Riviera Resort in a 2-bedroom Preferred View. To say that I couldn’t be more happy is an understatement. And trust me I will be shooting videos to share with everyone including a few reels. The only thing is I may be looking at another vlogging camera that is a little more compact than what I have. I currently have a Canon M50 with the kit lens of 15-45mm. But on every vacation we go on, I normally upgrade to another camera.
When are We Going?
I can’t believe I’m about to say this but we are headed to Disney at the end of July. We have done mid-July before and we spent a lot of time at the resort in the pool. Since we had to use up our points for 2021 and 2022 by August 1st, it was a week that Jason could get off work. We are of course going down before we hit the parks (if we go) and that is when we will be staying at the Riviera. I do plan on taking advantage of the free transportation that the resorts have to offer. I plan to walk around the resort and explore it more to share all the good details with you when we return.
While we are on vacation, we do plan on checking out the outlets because you never know what you may find. We plan on cooking a lot during the trip unlike the other trips we’ve ever taken in the past. I want to say the only two times we ever cooked at the resorts was when we stayed off-site both times. I’m looking forward to staying at both of these beautiful resorts, but I’m most excited about my dream resort!
