Lifemark Movie Review & Giveaway

I remember when I first learned of how the Kendrick Brothers were back when Fireproof came out. I was just going through a hard separation from my ex-husband who honestly just didn’t care. I remember going to church and attempting to do a Bible study about the movie, and I just couldn’t. I was hurt, I was broken and I just didn’t know who I was anymore. Since then, I have fallen in love with the man of my dreams who has introduced me more of the other movies that the Kendrick Brothers have produced. When we first learned of Lifemark, we were at the theaters to see Top Gun Maverick and the trailer came out for it. We knew we had to watch it because we both have always thrown the thought around to adopting.
A Little About the Movie
Lifemark is about how David’s comfortable world was turned upside down when his birthmother reached out to him. This was unexpected and she was longing to meet her 18-year old son who she only held once. With the encouragement from his adoptive parents, David embarks on a journey of discovery that leads to a staggering truth from his past. Kirk Cameron and the Kendrick Brothers – Creators of War Room & Fireproof – comes Lifemark. This movie was inspired by an incredible true story that celebrates the gift of life.
My Thoughts on the Movie
This movie has given me another light into adoption and how wonderful it is to be able to do so. Lifemark brought joy, happiness, laughter and sadness as I watched David’s journey into this discovery. While many people may think that giving a child up for adoption may be easy, it’s much more difficult than you think. This movie shows the hardship of how a mother may feel years later after giving up a child for adoption. I really fell in love with this movie and can’t wait to get it on Blu-Ray to add to our Kendrick Brothers movie collection.
