It’s hard to believe that this past year has changed a lot and yes even took away a lot from us all. But one of the main things that I have personally missed is going out with friends and family and seeing concerts in person. 2020 seemed like it was going to be a great year but that soon changed quickly into a not so great year. 2021 has already turned into becoming a great year and I’m even more excited now to find out the return of concerts and tours on the horizon! One of the tours that I’m most excited about is Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe & Bethel Music!
I first learned of Chris Tomlin when I was going through my separation back in 2008 with my ex husband and a few songs really stuck with me. But my ultimate love is for Bethel Music as many of their songs have reached my heart and soul with the words. Some of their songs have impacted my life such as Reckless Love and No Longer Slaves.
You split the sea so I could walk right through it, You drowned my fears in perfect love, You rescued me, and I will stand and sing, I am a child of God.
That song helped me through a dark time in my life, where I was seeing multiple doctors and no one could tell me why I was so sick. They couldn’t tell me why I was choking on food and telling me that it was all in my head and I was making it up. As I listened to this song, it gave me hope that one day I will get answers and I knew that the Lord was helping me through it. I still love this song and still will get emotional listening to it because it has helped me know that I am a child of God and He will help me through everything I go through in my life. And when I found out that Bethel was going to be touring with both Chris Tomlin & Kari Jobe and I was going to experience worshiping in person, I became even more excited!
Chris Tomlin is another great artist that I’m excited to see live as I’ve been through a separation and divorce and now found my happily ever after, his words have spoken to me. Kari Jobe I’ve been listening to for years and love her voice as it’s so soothing. I can’t wait to see both of these artists as well.
How great is our God, sing with me how great is our God, And we will see how great, how great is our God.

Ever since I started getting into journaling with my Bible about a year ago, I have filled my pages up with loved and notes that I knew I would. I am still filling them and now have another wonderful Bible to fill those pages up as well. I gave away one of my other Bibles to my sister in law because she has been wanting one and I had already planned on giving her it for Christmas. Just gave it to her a month before. Can I just say that this Bible is just beautiful…absolutely beautiful y’all! I’m so impressed with how pretty the cover on the Bible is and I love the gold on the side of the Bible! I have always had NIV versions but this English Standard Version I’m loving even more now and the words are more eligible for me to read since I’m half blind without my glasses.

Have you ever been to Portrait Innovations? Have you been to have family pictures done recently? With the holiday’s coming up soon, this is the perfect time to go and have portraits done! We went on Friday, September 29th to have ours done and it was the first family pictures taken since we were married in 2012! Shocking I know to everyone’s surprise! Many of our family pictures are taken while at Walt Disney World but we wanted more serious pictures taken this fall and this was the perfect opportunity to take advantage of Portrait Innovations reaching out to me and asking if I’d like to work with them on this amazing promotion!
Since it had been 10 years since I had been to a Studio to have pictures taken of Olivia, this was kind of fun to do. We set up a time for us to go to our local Portrait Innovations Studio which happened to be in Cary, North Carolina and it was so easy to set up the appointment. Then we were called a few days before the day of the appointment and we were asked to bring in props if we wanted to and they went over a few things that they would be doing that day for the pictures. Fast forward to Friday, Sept. 29th we picked out our outfits and headed to Cary, NC. We were met by Katie who was going to be our Photographer and associate to take care of us while we were there to get our portraits taken. She took roughly around 78-80 pictures of our family and we had more fun than we could have had. She took pictures of just me and Jason, me and Olivia, Jason and Olivia, Olivia, and the family. It was nice to have a little fun while making memories that will last for a lifetime!
We chose several backgrounds and it was nice because we were even able to incorporate a barn wood background and fall like background! I fell in love with the fall background because well it’s fall and it’s my favorite time of the year guys! So who can say no to taking pictures with a fall background?! After we took the portraits, Katie brought us to a large screen and we were able to view our pictures. Guys I have to say that it was very, very difficult to choose the poses we wanted to have printed out that day! Our package that we received was:
Now we did have a difficult time choosing which pictures we wanted to have printed that day but we were able to take home the High Resolution CD so that we can have the prints printed elsewhere which we will need to do for family! Everyone is getting pictures for Christmas this year! We even got a head start on our Christmas Cards since we were able to get them in our package!
