Busy Weekend

This past weekend was a busy one for us. We started out by going to Rocky Mount to have my haircut, see my grandma and visit with family. It was nice to see my sister and her dog, possum and it was good to see my brother and niece. I picked up a few things from the house before leaving and coming home. Then on Saturday we headed to Wilmington to see our friends there. We had to leave before it was time to eat because Jason had to get to work that night. I was so dog tired when I left their house that I had to stop off and get myself a Sundrop since their coffee machine was broken along with their cappacino maker too. Ugh. But I figured Sundrop has enough caffeine that it should keep me awake long enough to get home. By the time we reached Regalwood it was pouring rain. Great! That was a tough drive home but we made it home just a little before Jason had to leave for work again.

Then yesterday we met mom up in Smithfield to get some fresh food like fresh collards, potatoes, sweet potatoes and more to cook up. We were given the food for free which helps out in the long run for us trying to eat healthy and fresh veggies are so stinking expensive. We got home in time for me to cook dinner at home. I love cooking and enjoy it. And now that I’m trying to officially lose weight then it works better for me too. Jason even had a dinner for work too which included baked itailan chicken, and fresh coleslaw with homemade coleslaw dressing. It was too easy and I am enjoying doing this.

Today was my first day to workout and I’m looking forward to continuing my weight loss journey. I just ordered some Shakeology and I’m looking forward to getting that in the mail sometime this week! Yay for weight loss and eating healthy! Jason brought home a chicken biscuit for me but after one bite I realized it wasn’t for me. So I ate a banana and drank a bottle of water. I’m going to hold myself accountable for what I eat. I am cooking collards tonight, baked chicken and sweet potatoes. Yum! Can’t wait to eat tonight. Gotta get some homework done before midnight tonight. Well let me go try to do lessons with Olivia while the collards are cooking and then start on my homework for the night.
