Changes…For the Better!

Lately I’ve been blogging about other things and not about Olivia and what is happening with our lives together. Well we’ve been going through some ordeals and meltdowns and not knowing what the problem is. Well I took Olivia to her pediatrician and he agrees that there is something not right. We’ve also been working with the school in setting up a 504 plan which means it will be in place for Olivia when we move to a different town. Mainly to the Fayetteville area. We’ve been back in forth with trying to figure out what is going on with Olivia and her social behaviors and more that we’ve noticed in the past year. Today I took Olivia to a specialist in Greenville and we have to go back in March for more testing. We are currently having her tested for Asperger’s Syndrome and if that is indeed what she has we will figure out what needs to be done to her 504 plan at school.

Another thing that Jason and I have been discussing when we move in together and get married that we are going to think about me only working part time. The reasoning for that is I am really thinking of homeschooling Olivia. I’d love to be able to stay home with her during the day and work part time in the evenings and night at the local hospital down there. If I can find something to do at home that would be even better but for now we are going to have to start saving and start really thinking about what we can cut back on even if that means that I won’t have my regular phone and stop eating out all the time. I even told Jason that we can just purchase a treadmill and that way I won’t have to go to the gym and pay the monthly due and I can run at home. This is something that I am really thinking hard about and praying about. I’m truly hoping this is going to be the best decision for us and for Olivia and her education.

Now onto our big vacation. Yes it’s true, we’re going back to Disney World. We are going the week of April 22nd and will be so excited to be going. Not only will we see Olivia’s cousin in Disney but we are also eating in Cinderella’s Castle. I’ve got a few special surprises for her and can’t wait to see her face! I love my little family and can’t wait to share more about it soon. 🙂
