Garfield Virtual Running Series…I’m a Brand Rep!

I first heard about Run with Character from a fellow person I follow on Instagram! She was wearing a new shirt from Raw Threads and I fell in love with the Rest Day shirt and couldn’t wait to sign up for this amazing virtual race!

I put my name and information into an email to Run with Character hoping that I would be chosen as a Brand Rep for the Garfield Virtual Running Series! After not hearing back from them I felt like I wasn’t chosen but I got the email saying You’re a Brand Rep and I was super excited to apart of a great opportunity!! I have to say that getting back into running is something that I have been wanting to get back into and what a perfect chance then to do a virtual race!

Garfield Donut Run is the first race from Run with Character and if you grew up reading the comics in the paper, you will understand why I love Garfield and Odie! I have always felt that Garfield is my spirit animal because he loves to take naps just as I do!! This just isn’t any virtual race…you will get a medal along with a shirt! I don’t know about you but I’m excited about adding to my collection! I have to get myself something to hang all my medals onto! Another reason to love this race series is because a portion of the profits will go towards The Professor Garfield which is a non-profit 501! They help with providing materials for K-8 teachers and students in getting materials. I will stand behind this non-profit because as a parent of a child who is in the 7th grade and I have seen what a lot of schools need and classrooms need.

And here is a kicker for you! You can sign up to run a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon. Since it’s been a while since I have run anything, I decided to sign up for the 5K. I am breaking it up as I am getting back into running and so I have already 1.34 miles just today. Today was my first day back at getting over the cold and all that fun stuff and I enjoyed getting outside too. I enjoyed getting some natural vitamin D and this is something that I have struggled with for a while. I am glad that I was able to get out and enjoy the nice weather. Also you should check out the official training gear from Raw Threads Athletics! I think this one is perfect for me since I love to take naps! I will say that I love the gear from Raw Threads Athletics because I have a shirt that I got from them 3 years ago and it has seen it’s better days! They wear so nice as a shirt to wear to run in!!

I’m glad I can be apart of such a great running series and hope that I can continue to follow my dreams of running and staying up with staying healthy!
