Almost Time!

I can’t believe that it’s almost a week before we close on the house! We have like 1 day before we close on the house and this has been a whirlwind of a journey for us. We have been trying for years to save up to be able to afford a home we both were in love with. I’m looking forward to getting moved in and getting settled before Christmas. I’m also looking forward to being able to sit on our back porch and enjoy the weather outside. If it’s a little warm out and we want to enjoy the sunshine or the warmth and it’s not sunny out we can still do so. If it’s raining we can still sit out there and enjoy the rain!

The front porch is beautiful too and I just can’t wait!! Yesterday we went to the storage unit and we cleaned it up quite a bit. We ended up going through a lot of the boxes in there and throwing out a ton of crap that we had thrown in there. I can’t believe that it’s been 3 1/2 years since we moved out of our house in St. Pauls, NC and moved back in with my parents. I am so happy that we are able to now be on our own and we can slowly build what we don’t have to furnish the house back up too. We really started out in our other home with a lot of furniture that was given to us. But with this home, I have either purchased furniture that I found on Facebook and liked or we have found online or in stores like HomeGoods. I’m finding that I’m able to find bargins at a lot better prices and able to talk about them more. I have already purchased a new picture for the house I found at HomeGoods and had to have it. It’s a picture of a chihuahua and because of Yoda I wanted it. I’m pretty sure I will put it in the office/spare bedroom.

Well off to go finish packing! It’s just the little things now! I’m so excited! We close tomorrow morning!
