I can tell that Fall is coming soon! The weather has changed and it’s a nice change too. Today the weather was so nice and I was able to sit in the car line at Olivia’s school and it was nice to sit with the sunroof open, windows down and I wasn’t sweating to death. Today was also the release of Pumpkin Coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts which I had to go get. I don’t know about you but I get really excited about going there to get my coffee from there during the fall season.
We are having some issues with Olivia’s school already and we are just in the 3rd week of school. We are honestly at our wits end with them already and today I had to take a Xanax which is my last resort medication because all I could do is cry. They aren’t following through with some of the promises or what they said they would do when we first enrolled her and asked these questions. But now it seems to be a bigger problem. Olivia is having homework that is taking her between 4-6 hours to complete. I mean really? And most of the homework she doesn’t understand because the Teachers don’t explain it enough to her. I found out today that if she doesn’t turn in her homework that she will automatically get detention. None of this was told to us when we enrolled her into the school. It’s like the school is deciding to make these new changes after they have all the new people they wanted. Well needless to say after the teacher was supposed to contact me today and never did and I even sent her a message asking a question about a homework assignment that Olivia had to complete and still no answer, I’m pretty ticked off. It’s all I can do.
So my question to you is What would you do in this situation? Would you give the school a chance even after the headmaster made you feel like you were stupid and didn’t know what you were talking about? Or would you pull your child out and find a different form of school for them to go to?
