School is Almost Back In Session

School is beginning soon for those in North Carolina. We have enjoyed homeschooling Olivia the past 3 years but it’s time that she goes to school for the socialization aspect. She did amazing on the end of the year tests last school year and she tested out of most of the grade levels for her. We decided to put Olivia into a local Christian private school that is not too expensive at all. They teach Abeka as their curriculum so we were not opposed to her attending that school at all. Since we did Abeka for most of the school year last year we felt that she would enjoy this school a little better. Plus she knows a few of the students and teachers so that helps of course.

And while school is back in session for Olivia beginning on August 17th, I will not be going back to college at Campbell University. This is a much needed break will help me in the long run. This scares me so much because I haven’t worked since I got married 5 years ago. I am still a Travel Agent with Main Street Magic, LLC and love doing my job. Yet I need a little more income to help be able to put money back into the savings account to be able to buy a house. Don’t want to give away too much detail because it’s still something that Jason and I are discussing as a couple. But needless to say, its going to be a big change for us all.

I am going to the local community college and will be taking a refresher course on Medical Billing and Coding. After I take the course, I will be studying for the Certified Coding Specialist test. This is something that I have been wanting to do since I graduated in 2008 but now it’s time to get it done. I have such a supportive husband who will do anything to support this and so here we go. I look forward to completing my degree in Healthcare Management in the future but for now I will focus on myself. I will also focus on my family and being able to spend as much time with them as possible.
