Taste of Home Cooking School Cookbook

Ever since I got married and also moved in with my husband, I’ve been trying to be good and save money by cooking at home. I’ve never been the best cook in the world so having a cookbook helps out big time with me. I got the chance to review “Taste of Home: Cooking School Cookbook with Step-by-Step Instructions” and fell in love with the book.

Since we moved into our own house about a month ago we’ve been lucky enough to cook and try new foods at home. After reading and looking and trying some of the recipes, I have to say that this has become one of my favorite cookbooks ever. The instructions are very simple to follow and it has expert advice in the book as well which helps me out in so many ways. One of our favorite recipes to make lately has got to be Lemonade Icebox Pie. Here’s the recipe:

Lemonade Icebox Pie:

Yields: 8 servings
By: Cheryl Wilt of Egion, West Virginia

Ingredients:

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup thawed lemonade concentrate
1 carton (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Yellow food coloring, optional
1 graham cracker crust (9 inches)

Directions:

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and milk until smooth. Beat in lemonade concentrate. Fold in whipped topping and food coloring if desired. Pour into crust, cover and refrigerate until set.

This has become one of our favorites and it’s easy to make too which is another thing I like about most of the recipes in the book. They are easy to make and I enjoy making dinners, lunches and more with the cookbook for my friends and family. I look forward to entertaining more this holiday season and look forward to spending time with our friends and family too!

This book can be purchased from Amazon.com and other major retailers for $17.99 and as an eBook for $9.99.

I received a copy of the book to compensate my own opinions for the review.”
