Secret Keeper Girl Series

A week or two ago I received a special package to review. It was a Secret Keeper Girl Series Book called “Danika’s Totally Terrible Toss” by Dannah Gresh. This book is part of a perfect series of books for girls 8-12 years old. Honestly my 12 year old niece would love this book. (Will have to get her one for Christmas or her birthday). The book is super cute and it really relates to what girls that age would say or do. I like how it kept me on the seat of my pants the entire time I read the book. Now normally for a young girl it would take them close to a week to read this book but I read it in one night. LOL. I love to read can you tell? Dannah Gresh is a Christian author who is debuting her first mainstream book series or tweens. Here’s a little insertion about the series:

Rutherford B. Hayes Middle School will never be the same. Danika is in deep trouble for hitting Mrs. Hefty’s right temple with her brown bag lunch. Toni is trying out for the boy’s football league…against her dads’ wishes and the school rules. Kaitlyn is completely boy-crazy and will stop at nothing to express her love for her older brother’s best friend. And Yuzi is the new kid at school whose name nobody can pronounce and in a valiant effort to fit in. Their worlds collide one afternoon when they all end up in afterschool detention and the Secret Keeper Girls Club is formed to save the day. Full of comedy, action emotion and life-transforming lessons, each book includes a mother/daughter Girl Gab assignment as well.

Also this book really reminds me of the Babysitter’s Club series that I have read when I was that age and I do still have most of the collection. Even though I am almost 28 years Old I still like to pull out a book of that collection and read it. It brings back good memories as will this series for the girls in this day of age. I really like the book that I read and honestly I will be purchasing some for my niece for sure. This is something that I know her parents wouldn’t mind her reading. It’s fun, educational and well just plain funny! So you should check it out too! Especially if you have children, or grandchildren in the age range of 8-12 years old. So get your books at either Barnes and Noble or Amazon.com. Each book retails for $7.99.
